This season is so filled with holiday collections, special beauty editions and releases, it’s sometimes hard to differentiate an insane-fab deal from an insane non-deal.

I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we all prefer the former, and I’m happy to let you know that the BareMinerals Hidden Treasure Palette ($46) is probably the best thing you could buy for anyone (or yourself) this holiday.

This neutral palette has 18 shadows in a variety of tones and finishes that make any eye look you desire as easy as pie to achieve. The flavor? Up to you. Are you hungry for a warm chocolatey brown? A cool slate grey? Or maybe a subtle touch of berry?

Thankfully, this collection can satisfy all of your beauty cravings. A $90 value, it’s worth every cent. The top of three rows of shadows makes a beautiful warm eye look. I used just the last 3 shades (numbers 4, 5, and 6) for the eye look below. And let me be honest with you -- I got probably a million compliments on my makeup. I usually get one or two customers at work who tell me they like my look. But this time I had people flagging me down, practically begging me to tell them what palette I was using. One woman put in a Sephora order right on the sales floor. I was ecstatic that someone liked my makeup enough to buy it right then and there.

The middle row is a group of sweet pink shades that remind me of fruit and ice cream. This is the boldest row of the palette, making interesting eyes more accessible with very berry versatility.

The bottom row of slate shadows is perfect if you want a smokey eye that won’t leave you looking like a raccoon. That’s a win-win if I ever saw one.

That being said, I’m probably going to buy more of these to give to every gal I know. Bare Minerals very pleasantly surprised me with this one; you’ll look as yummy as dessert and good as gold in The Hidden Treasure holiday palette.
