Stuff My Stocking 2017, Stuffer 2: The Eyeshadow Palette For An Understated Yet Glamourous Mom
By Gigi Anders
Rouge Bunny Rouge. The name alone conjures foreign fairytales, romantic interludes, a playful je ne sais quoi. This deeply European and sophisticated brand is a not-so-well-kept secret among beauty aficionados. Its elegant idiosyncrasy makes it delightful. Its superb high quality makes it desirable.
To wit, this perfectly gorgeous eyeshadow quad, housed in a shiny round black magnetic compact, tucked in a matte round black container resembling a small hat box. It’s exquisite. It’s called Raw Garden Loess ($59). Its four rich, multidimensional shades – which may be applied with fingertips, it’s so forgiving -- are a soft golden beige highlighter; a cool, milky, shimmering powder pink; a warm mauve cacao; and a smoky, neutral basalt grey with a slightly cool metallic shimmer. Enriched with natural Argan Oil, the texture of this pressed powder palette is silken, light, and melty – no powdery or dry sensations – and actually looks natural on, with a transparent, luminous, satin-matte finish. The formula’s also paraben-, D5-, mineral oil-, and nano particle-free.
Mom will die.
