Flowers and Bonbons To Last Past Spring: Stuff My Stocking, Stuffer 19
By Gigi Anders
Dutch designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren, better known to the world as Viktor & Rolf, are as famous for their wildly successful fragrances as they are for their avant-guard haute couture. Perhaps even more so.
Here are our two faves for right now, if not sooner:
Festooned with a metallic pink flower ornament and a pink glass bottle, this season’s Limited Edition Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum Spray ($120), is pinkly perfect. This floral explosion is warm, spicy, sweet, assertive, exotic, and opulent. The complex fragrance features sambac jasmine, osmanthus, fresh tea, bergamot, cattleya, patchouli, mandarin, freesia, centifolia rose, deep amber, wood, vanilla, and praline.
Seriously.
Flowerbomb’s Limited Edition sister, Bonbon Bow ($120) features a bash-ready sequined pink and black bow tie wrapped around the neck of a bow-shaped bottle. Is it really good enough to eat? Well, just spray it on and see. Its mandarin and orange slices and neroli are crystalized into crackling pieces of caramel and vanilla, and wrapped around succulent fruits like paradise peach and apple. Jasmine, orange blossom, gïaic, patchouli, cedar wood, sandalwood, and woody amber round out this succulent sweet.
