Stuff My Stocking IX
By: Gigi Anders
My friend Noleen is obsessed with three things: her cats, Shayna and Mara, a.k.a. Kit and Caboodle; yoga; and lip balms. The girl cannot get enough. Of any of those.
But since I’m her beauty friend, we’re gonna focus on lip balms because the truth is, no lips can afford to forgo them, especially in December. And you can never have too many lip balms. Ever. Noleen always loses hers, though I think that wascally Shayna may be hoarding her Mommy’s stash.
At any rate, I’m currently in mad love with Carmex Comfort Care Colloidial Oatmeal Lip Balm in all three new subtle flavors ($1.99 each): Mixed Berry Stick, Sugar Plum Stick, and Watermelon Blast Stick. (Go to the Carmex site for “Where to Buy” the latter two by you.)
I’m in mad love, I say, because this balm, the brand’s first all-natural formulation, contains good-for-toi ingredients like the aforementioned colloidal oatmeal and fruit seed oil, specifically cold-pressed cranberry seed oil, to provide clinically-proven, soothing relief to dry, chapped lips; and beeswax and cupuacu butter to soften and moisturize. The balm’s texture is rich and nourishing sans a greasy feel, and is instantly comforting.
Noleen will die. As for Shayna’s theft issues, she’s on her own.
